Ultrasound Project Success

Post date: May 8, 2010 4:38:22 PM

As you know, our Council pledged to give 75% of the proceeds from the recent breakfast toward the purchase of an ultrasound machine for use locally. That life saving machine will be used to inform women considering an abortion about the life they carry in their womb. Wayne Slomiany, State Family Life Director was with us all morning and spoke several times and answered many questions about the project. Our Knights and their families worked very hard in the kitchen to prepare a meal with great love for you and for the unborn. In addition, just over $465 was donated directly to the project. Combined with our proceeds, a total of just over $800.00 was donated to the ultrasound project! In just one morning, at a historic Catholic Parish along a sleepy and quiet road in Northfield Township, a very big dent was put into the bill yet to be paid for saving lives. To think that if 12 Councils did this each month, we could buy twelve machines a year! This is the work we are called to do and the Knights of Columbus are merely an instrument in the mighty hand of God. Together we act as a conduit for temporal things to be used for HIS will in saving babies as well as the very spiritual lives of expectant Mothers. I am convinced, that no hand of evil will touch the innocent whenever and wherever even one Knight stands ready and vigilant. Thank you very much for standing beside your Knights on April 25th and for making this a success. --

God Love you,

SK Frank Finch
