Our Knights of Columbus, in cooperation with others in the Washtenaw area, are working to provided two local crisis pregnancy centers funding for the purchase of ultrasound machines. Ultrasound machines use sound waves to scan a woman’s abdomen, creating a picture or “sonogram” of the baby in utero and help the centers better provide for the health of both mother and child.Without this support, the centers would be unable to purchase the ultrasound machines, each costing tens of thousands of dollars. Donations for the project will greatly be accepted.Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 25, 2010 for the K of C "Pancakes for Life!" Breakfast. State Council Family Director, Wayne Slomiany has been invited to attend to speak more about the project.
