Essay Contest Winners Announced

We would like to thank everyone for their submission in this year's Essay Contest, “How Does the Power of Prayer Play a Role in Your Life Today?”

The judges scored each submission and selected two winning essays, which have been forwarded to the Michigan Knights of Columbus for the next level of competition. One judge, a former lecturer in the English Department at the University of Michigan, commented that had she not known the age range of the authors she would have thought that many were written by college students! Our District Deputy also offered his congratulations and noted that many other area councils either have no submissions or receive very few. There were 12 essays submitted in our contest this year!

Our winners, Miss Stephanie Boyd (Level II) & Miss Margaret Fil (Level I), were each presented with a $50 gift certificate to Our Lady of Grace Bookstore in Ann Arbor! Again, congratulations to our winners and we look forward to next year's submissions!
