Bishop's Golf Classic

My Dear Friends in Christ,
Our 2010 Bishop’s Golf Classic for Seminarian Education will provide parishioners from across our diocese an opportunity to come together for an enjoyable and worthwhile outing. The goal of the event is to provide funding for seminarian education in the Diocese of Lansing.In recent years, we have been blessed with an unexpected increase in the number of young men who have accepted the call to prepare for diocesan priesthood. In fact, we have the highest number of seminarians enrolled in recent memory. The Lord is calling young men! They are answering the Lord’s call with a resounding “YES!”
This blessing is not without challenges. With annual costs for formation of approximately $25,000 per seminarian, the diocese is seeking to provide the resources for the formation of a new generation of priestly service for our diocese.
These young men need our generous support to cover the costs of their extensive education and formation in the seminary. Our financial solidarity with them enables us to share in the task of preparing for the future of our diocese and the future sacramental service to the good people of our diocese.

Church and the ministry of the new generation of priests in the Diocese of Lansing.
